EFFECT: First, the magician displays a blank screen on a smart phone and leaves it in full view.
Next, the performer shows a set of 10 symbol cards fully mixes them up. From the shuffled pack, the audience member freely selects a random card FACE DOWN. No one has seen the symbol selected by the spectator.
The magi then hands the phone to the spectator and instructs them to simply tap the blank screen on the phone while simultaneously turning over their chosen card - revealing their symbol for the first time. When they do - the blank screen mysteriously reveals the shape on their freely selected card. The symbols match perfectly.
The effect is jaw dropping as the symbol fades into view on the screen in an eerie way.
While this is an incredible prediction or mental effect, it is also incredibly easy to do. The technology of the phone app combined with the special trick cards (included) do almost all of the work for you. The selection by the spectator is NOT a force. It can be repeated with different results.

EFFECT: The magician shows an antique picture from the 1800's depicting his "great-grandfather" sitting by a table with a top hat who was also once a magician. To prove his ancestors magical skills, the performer has his audience select 5 random numbers from a stack of cards with various 3 digit numbers hand written on them. Their freely selected total is a 4 digit number that somehow magically appears in the antique photo - the audience's freely selected number is written on the wall by the old magician in the photo!
As a kicker, a previously chosen playing card is also showing in the old picture.
The 4 digit number can be a different total each time and the picture will always be right due to the clever hi-tech secret only the magician knows. The calculation is NOT a force.
The app does most of the work for you and produces an effect that is so astounding, it could be your closing trick to leave your audience stunned and bewildered.
The old photo of the man with the top hat is just one of THREE variations of the effect. The app comes with THREE stories so you can perform with different calculation outcomes, different photos and different stories.

EFFECT: The magician shows a picture of the back of a playing card on a phone. The spectator then freely selects a card from a fully shuffled deck and keeps the card face down on the table. No one has looked at the chosen card yet - not the spectator or the magician.
Next, the magi has the audience member simply touch the image of the face down card on the phone while turning the chosen card on the table face up for the first time. The image on the phone and the freely chosen card MATCH! Can be repeated with a different outcome each time because there is NO FORCE.
